Description: In this course, participants will learn about the different types of ladders and their different applications, how to safely use ladders as well as general safe practices to follow on the job. The lessons will cover how to select the appropriate ladder for the job, proper inspection and set up, and safe ladder usage. 

Objectives: Upon completion of this class, students will: 

  • Select the appropriate ladder for the job 
  • Perform ladder inspections prior to use 
  • Incorporate best practices for safe ladder usage.

Registration closes: Wednesday, April 15, 2026, or upon reaching max class size of 10.

Attendance Policy: Registrants will receive login information on Monday, April 20, 2026, and will have until Friday, April 24, 2026, to complete the class. Registrants will be required to complete the module to receive credit. 

No-Show/Cancellations Policy: Please be aware that cancellations made less than two days before the class begins, or failure to attend, will result in a $50.00 fee. All cancellations must be submitted via email to ceu@arpec.org. 

Continuing education: Participants who complete the course in its entirety will receive a certificate and continuing education credits.

Pricing

ARPEC’s training, funded via the labor contract’s hourly contribution, requires no registration fee or deposit. However, if you cancel within two days before the start of the class, or do not attend the class in full, you will be charged $50.00. If that occurs, that invoice must be paid in full before you can register for future classes. As an employee benefit trust, ARPEC is legally required to be a good steward of the trust's assets.
