Description: This advanced-level continuing education course is designed to enhance the knowledge and field competency of journeymen HVAC technicians and pipefitters working with modern commercial boiler systems. Delivered in partnership with LAARS Boilers, the course focuses on condensing and non-condensing boiler technology, volume water heaters, hydronic system design, and combustion optimization.
Building upon ARPEC’s in-house hydronic training initiative and the iConnect boiler training platform, this course integrates manufacturer-specific expertise with real-world applications. Participants will develop a deeper understanding of system piping, venting strategies, control programming, and combustion setup while utilizing simulators and digital tools to replicate field conditions.
This training directly supports contractor needs in retrofit, service, and new installation markets, aligning classroom instruction with on-the-job demands and improving technician performance, safety, and system efficiency.

Attendance Policy: You are required to attend each course in its entirety. You will receive your certificate and credit upon successful completion of the course.
No-Show/Cancellations Policy: Please be aware that cancellations made less than two days before the class begins, or failure to attend, will result in a $50.00 fee. All cancellations must be submitted via email to ceu@arpec.org.
Continuing education: Participants who attend each course in its entirety will receive a certificate and continuing education credits.
