Electrically Safe to Work Procedures

Description: In this intermediate course on Electrically Safe to Work Procedures, we will explore the tasks and requirements of establishing safe work conditions while working with electricity. With each scenario, you will be guided with realistic steps of evaluating personal protective equipment based on warning labels and work orders. You will also be directed to the specific articles of code from NFPA-70E, which is the standard for electrical safety in the workplace.

Objectives: Upon completion of this class, students will: 

  • Evaluate personal protective equipment required based on warning labels and a given work order.
  • Establish an electrically safe work condition.
  • Recall specific articles of code from NFPA-70E related to establishing an electrically safe work condition.

Registration closes: Wednesday, July 15, 2026, or upon reaching max class size of 10.

Attendance Policy: Registrants will receive login information on Monday, July 20, 2026, and will have until Friday, July 24, 2026, to complete the class. Registrants will be required to complete the entire class to receive credit.

No-Show/Cancellations Policy: Please be aware that cancellations made less than two days before the class begins, or failure to attend, will result in a $50.00 fee. All cancellations must be submitted via email to ceu@arpec.org

Continuing education: Participants who attend each course in its entirety will receive a certificate and continuing education credits.

Pricing

ARPEC’s training, funded via the labor contract’s hourly contribution, requires no registration fee or deposit. However, if you cancel within two days before the start of the class, or do not attend the class in full, you will be charged $50.00. If that occurs, that invoice must be paid in full before you can register for future classes. As an employee benefit trust, ARPEC is legally required to be a good steward of the trust's assets.
