HVAC Lifts: Using Rigging, Cranes and Derricks:

Description: This class provides mechanics with an introduction to industry-related lifting techniques, including use of OSHA’s designated crane signals, crane limitations, and procedures for operating and working around cranes. Instruction will include working hands-on with a variety of rigging techniques, including inverting a pump from a horizontal position. Students will also learn how to use proper rigging techniques as well as how to identify and avoid hazards and unsafe conditions.
Objectives: Upon completion of this class, students will:
- Be knowledgeable of OSHA’s crane and derrick signal standards.
- Be able to demonstrate various rigging techniques.
- Be able to calculate weights.
- Be able to identify unsafe rigging methods, materials, and slings.

Registration closes: Wednesday, April 1, 2026, or upon reaching max class size of 10. Attendance Policy: You are required to attend each course in its entirety. You will receive your certificate and credit upon successful completion of the course. No-Show/Cancellations Policy: Please be aware that cancellations made less than two days before the class begins, or failure to attend, will result in a $50.00 fee. Failure to comply will result in being removed from class. |

However, if you cancel within two days before the start of the class, or do not attend the class in full, you will be charged $50.00.
