Mini Split Troubleshooting & Assessment Simulation

Description: This course explores common mini split heat pump faults, including faulty sensors, motors, and communication system issues, through interactive hands-on learning. Participants are also required to complete an assessment simulation to demonstrate troubleshooting skills and apply effective repair strategies in real-world scenarios.

Objectives: Upon completion of this class, students will: 

  • Identify the fault code using the resistance value table.
  • Diagnose and repair faulty compressor, faulty blower motor, faulty primary control board, faulty temperature sensors, and faulty valve coil.
  • Determine the voltage and resistance of both the indoor and outdoor unit using the multimeter

Registration closes: Wednesday, May 27, 2026, or upon reaching max class size of 13.

Attendance Policy: Registrants will receive login information on Monday, June 1, 2026, and will have until Friday, June 5, 2026, to complete the class. Registrants will be required to complete  8 modules and the assessment simulations to receive credit.

No-Show/Cancellations Policy: Please be aware that cancellations made less than two days before the class begins, or failure to attend, will result in a $50.00 fee. All cancellations must be submitted via email to ceu@arpec.org

Continuing education: Participants who attend each course in its entirety will receive a certificate and continuing education credits.

Pricing

ARPEC’s training, funded via the labor contract’s hourly contribution, requires no registration fee or deposit. However, if you cancel within two days before the start of the class, or do not attend the class in full, you will be charged $50.00. If that occurs, that invoice must be paid in full before you can register for future classes. As an employee benefit trust, ARPEC is legally required to be a good steward of the trust's assets.
