Description: This class, led by a UA-certified CPR instructor, will train students how to respond in a cardiac or first aid-related emergency. Students will be taught how to deliver initial medical emergency procedures using a limited amount of equipment to perform a primary assessment and intervention while awaiting arrival of emergency medical service (EMS) personnel. Upon completion of class, students will be more confident in their ability to apply First Aid, including CPR and AED use appropriately in a variety of situations. In addition, the group will learn important heart health information that can be used to keep themselves and their loved ones safe and decrease risk of heart disease and other heart issues.

Registration closes: Wednesday, December 10, 2025, or upon reaching max class size of 10. Attendance Policy: You are required to attend each course in its entirety. You will receive your certificate and credit upon successful completion of the course. Class Certification Policy: Purchase of the $10.00 First AID and CPR Certification is required to attend the class. Failure to purchase the certification will result in the cancellation of your class registration. No-Show/Cancellations Policy: Please be aware that cancellations made less than two days before the class begins, or failure to attend, will result in a $50.00 fee. ARPEC’s training, funded via the labor contract’s hourly contribution, requires no registration fee or deposit. However, if you cancel within two days before the start of the class, or do not attend the class in full, you will be charged $50.00. If that occurs, that invoice must be paid in full before you can register for future classes. As an employee benefit trust, ARPEC is legally required to be a good steward of the trust's assets.
