Description: This course equips trade professionals with essential skills to improve customer interactions and satisfaction. You will learn how to effectively communicate through verbal, non-verbal, and written methods, as well as manage expectations, resolve conflicts, and handle common customer complaints. The course also emphasizes gathering and applying customer feedback to enhance your services. By mastering these customer service strategies, you’ll build stronger client relationships and stand out in a competitive industry.
Objectives: Upon completion of this class, students will:
- Define the key components of customer service and explain their importance in the trades industry.
- Apply effective communication techniques, including verbal, non-verbal, and written methods, to enhance customer interactions.
- Identify strategies for managing customer expectations, handling complaints, and resolving conflicts in a professional manner.
- Utilize customer feedback to improve service quality and build long-term relationships with clients.

Registration closes: Wednesday, July 15, 2026, or upon reaching max class size of 10. Attendance Policy: Registrants will receive login information on Monday, July 20, 2026, and will have until Friday, July 24, 2026, to complete the class. Registrants will be required to complete the entire class to receive credit. No-Show/Cancellations Policy: Please be aware that cancellations made less than two days before the class begins, or failure to attend, will result in a $50.00 fee. All cancellations must be submitted via email to ceu@arpec.org. Continuing education: Participants who attend each course in its entirety will receive a certificate and continuing education credits. ARPEC’s training, funded via the labor contract’s hourly contribution, requires no registration fee or deposit. However, if you cancel within two days before the start of the class, or do not attend the class in full, you will be charged $50.00. If that occurs, that invoice must be paid in full before you can register for future classes. As an employee benefit trust, ARPEC is legally required to be a good steward of the trust's assets.
